Studio booking terms
Terms of Service
These terms govern all studio bookings, onsite use, safety, liability, and payment. The sticky “last-read section” bar is designed to help you keep your place while reviewing important clauses.
1) Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all bookings and use of the photo studio space, including any equipment supplied on-site. By confirming a reservation, entering the studio, or using equipment, you agree to these Terms.
If you are booking on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
Unusual feature note: the sticky bar above shows your last-read section and keeps a subtle progress track as you move through the document.
2) Booking & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book. First-time guests may be asked to present a government-issued ID for access verification.
Bookings include access for the confirmed time window only. Setup and breakdown must occur within your booked time unless you have confirmed additional time.
- Accurate guest count is required for safety and staffing.
- Special requests (fog, water, large props) require written approval.
- We may refuse bookings that appear unsafe or unlawful.
3) Pricing, deposits & payment
Rates are displayed at checkout and are subject to change for future bookings. A deposit may be required to confirm the reservation. Deposits (if applicable) are applied to your total unless otherwise stated.
Accepted payment methods depend on what is presented during checkout. Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in access suspension until resolved.
Overtime
15-min increments
Billed at the applicable hourly rate.
Late fees
Possible
If exit exceeds booked end time.
Receipts
Provided
Email confirmation after payment.
4) Cancellations & rescheduling
Cancellations and reschedules must be requested as early as possible. Refund eligibility depends on the time remaining before the booking and any non-refundable fees disclosed at checkout.
If you arrive late, your booking still ends at the scheduled end time unless we can accommodate an extension. Extensions are not guaranteed.
Weather, transport, and third-party delays
These are generally outside our control and may not qualify for refunds. Contact us early if circumstances change.
5) Access, conduct & safety
You are responsible for your group’s conduct and compliance with safety requirements. Keep exits clear, avoid overloading circuits, and follow onsite instructions.
- No open flames, fireworks, or hazardous chemicals without written approval.
- Music volume must remain reasonable; comply with any building rules.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- No smoking or vaping inside.
6) Equipment use & damage
Use equipment only as intended. Do not modify light stands, mounts, or power distribution. If you are unfamiliar with any gear, request assistance before use.
You are responsible for damage caused by your group, including accidental drops, liquid spills, burns, or misuse. If damage occurs, notify us immediately.
Damage workflow
- 1Stop using the affected item and secure the area.
- 2Document what happened (quick notes + photos if safe).
- 3Report to staff before leaving to prevent escalation.
7) Liability & assumption of risk
Studio activities may involve risks (electrical equipment, stands, cables, moving props). You assume responsibility for evaluating whether the space and activities are appropriate for your use and participants.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your booking or use of the studio.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the studio, including violations of these Terms or unlawful activity by your group.
8) Content, privacy & releases
You are responsible for obtaining all necessary model releases, location permissions, and rights for any content you produce, including music played during recording.
Respect privacy: do not record staff-only areas or other tenants. If the building has shared spaces, follow posted signage and local laws.
If you request staff assistance or BTS documentation, any usage terms will be confirmed in writing per booking.
9) Cleaning, restoration & fees
Please leave the studio in substantially the same condition as found. Basic tidying is expected: return props, coil cables, dispose of trash, and wipe obvious spills.
Additional cleaning, waste removal, or restoration may be billed if required (e.g., glitter, confetti, adhesive residue, food spills, smoke odor).
Common triggers
- Residue on backdrops or floors
- Unbagged trash or overflowing bins
- Unapproved liquids or messy materials
Best practices
- Use drop cloths for messy setups
- Allocate 10–15 minutes for teardown
- Ask before using adhesives/tape
10) Changes to terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Updates apply to future bookings. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to reflect the updated effective date.
For existing bookings, the terms in effect at the time of booking generally apply unless required otherwise by law or mutually agreed in writing.
Version note
If you need a written copy for compliance, request it via the contact form.
